HOLIDAY CONCERT • DECEMBER 20, 2026 • 5PM

SEASONAL SENSATIONS

Accompanied by orchestra, our holiday concert opens with a dynamic thriller, Jasper Randall's "Gloria in Excelsis." Dan Forrest's "Lux" (Light) is the illuminating feature piece that begins ethereally and moves into a prism of joyful expressions. Our second half is a jolly romp through a medley of carols arranged by Mark Hayes. A delightful sequence of Hanukah and secular favorites round out the program.

FIRMAMENT FANTASIES

You will be star-struck with the opening series of familiar songs about "stars,' including Randall Thompson's "Choose Something Like a Star," Ringwald's arrangement of "When You Wish Upon Star," and the classic "Aquarius/Let the Sunshine in." Our second half features Christopher Tin's colossal work "To Shiver the Sky," which includes Tin's fantastic orchestration.

BROADWAY MUSICAL MENAGERIE

We're going back to Broadway with selections from "The Sound of Music," "Phantom of the Opera," "Les Misérables," "West Side Story," "Mama Mia," "Wicked," and more. It will be an evening full of some of the most beloved music from the Broadway stage.

Holiday Concert “Gloria-ous Holiday Music” December 15, 2024 • 7 PM
The “Gloria in Excelsis” (Glory to God in the Highest) text has been set to music for a millennium by the greatest master composers. We will perform some of the most thrilling including settings by Beethoven, Jenkins, Randall, Pickett and Bass. What do you get when you perform a group of “Glorias”? You get the most “Gloria-ous Holiday Music” ever, and a concert you do not want to miss.

Classical Concert “Transcendental Journey” March 16, 2025 • 7 PM
The Requiem by Maurice Durufle is one of the greatest choral works of the 20th century. Based on Gregorian themes and adorned with truly transcendent harmonies the music transports you to an enchanted, ethereal place. As we conclude our 75th year, we find that the very composer we commissioned to celebrate our 50th is now our director. We will present a command performance of “Resounding Praise” and other delightful selections by Faure, Kean and Hagenberg in our program as well.

Spring Concert “Portrait in Blue” June 15, 2025 • 7 PM

When it comes to colors in music, the “blues” are a world unto themselves. We will explore the many hues of blue, from the Blues, Blue Moon, Blue Velvet and Blue Skies to movements of the Mass set to bluegrass and jazzy blues. It promises to be a colorful excursion that will delight both the aural and visual senses.
